VH1: Eyecandy
About
VH1's Eyecandy is a celebrity gossip blog based on a huge archive of
photos and video s that MTV has rights to.
The site includes game widgets and quizzes and allows the user to create
their own slideshow or movie of their favorite celebrity to be shared
on other blogs and social networking sites.
The Challenge
The challenge with this site was to create a new kind of blog - one that is visually engaging and interactive, and made as much use as possible of the photo archive. Also, it had to be engaging enough for users to want to post their widgets around the web.
My Role
I did the visual design for this site, as well as brianstorming and user
experience layouts.
MTV
Networks Digital Programming group was a small, experimental group
whose aim was to develop many web properties in a short time span. I worked
on a range of entertainment and social networking sites, designing the
visuals as well as programming CSS on Wordpress.
